The Lodging Options & Considerations at Full Moon Resort

Weddings can be too short to get a good chance to socialize with everyone there. So we decided to have a campus-style wedding.

We will have exclusive access to the entire Full Moon Resort property for our wedding weekend from the Friday BBQ through the Sunday Brunch.

We recommend guests stay on-site at Full Moon Resort so that you do not have to worry about transportation to and from wedding events, and can enjoy the beautiful accommodations and grounds with friends and family. Lodging at Full Moon Resort consists of a variety of accommodations from Bed & Breakfast style rooms, to multi-room houses and single-room cottages. All accommodations come with comfortable beds, running water, and AC to manage high temperatures.

If you do not wish to stay at Full Moon Resort for any reason, please see more information on other options at the bottom of this page.

The Basics

  • We'll be assigning everyone to cabins if you're staying onsite. You'll receive an email with your assignment a few weeks before the wedding. We'll do our absolute darndest to group people based on maximizing friendship and good times, but expect to be sharing a house/cabin with a couple other guests. If you have requests or questions please feel free to reach out.

If you are not staying with us at Full Moon, you can ignore this section.

  • Cost will be entirely dependent on which cabin/cottage, how many people will be in the residence, and how many nights everyone is staying. So it is hard to put a finger on cost. If we factor in food and lodging for two nights, the low-end cost for one person will be around $270 for the entire weekend, and the high-end cost for one person will be around $540. This includes: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast/lunch/dinner, Sunday breakfast, booze, and your accommodations. We will attempt to make the appropriate considerations when placing each guest.

If you are not staying with us at Full Moon, you can ignore this section.

  • All meals are included, starting with Friday Welcome BBQ, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then a Sunday Farewell Breakfast. We will have some limited snacks for late-night activities as well. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions in your RSVP.

All of that said, you're also welcome to bring your own food and drinks if you would like!

If you are not staying with us, you are welcome to join for the Welcome BBQ, the cocktail hour/reception, and the Sunday Farewell Breakfast.

  • While rustic, Full Moon is beautiful, quaint, clean, and provides the following:

    - Bath towels and bed linens
    - Soap and shampoo (BYO conditioner)
    - Complimentary tea and coffee throughout the stay
    - Complimentary wi-fi (cellphone service WILL be spotty)

Housekeeping will not be provided during the course of stay.

  • There is no dress code, but it’s fun to look nice sometimes, right? Kristen will be wearing a white wedding dress. Jesse will be wearing a suit of some color (probably a boring color). He might take his shoes off at some point. You are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable with!

FAQs

  • The wedding location, Full Moon Resort, is nestled in the Catskill Mountains. Full Moon has hiking trails nearby, a 6 hole disc golf course, and three large fields on the grounds. If you’re interested in taking advantage of these options, please feel free to bring your own gear with you (cleats, hiking boots, sneakers, sunscreen, discs, spikeball, bocce ball set, etc.) Also, the evenings can be chilly, so bring a warm jacket or sweater.

  • Please don’t bring any physical gifts. You are welcome to check out our registry, but there is no pressure to get us anything; you coming to the wedding is the best possible gift you could get us!

OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS

We understand staying in a rural property in cabins is not an ideal situation for everyone. And while Full Moon is beautiful and we would love for all to stay with us, it is not perfectly accessible. No elevators, and there is lots of walking. If you want to stay elsewhere, we completely understand. Here are some local spots nearby that Full Moon recommends:

These are all within a 20-minute drive. We will not be providing transportation to and from any outside accommodations, considering most folks will be staying on-campus with us.
